Uncle Nathan's Day at the Capitola Mercantile

Uncle Nathan's Day is an annual Christmas/Chanukah celebration in Capitola Village for children in need, sponsored by Peter Dwares, real-estate developer in San Francisco, and owner of the Capitola Mercantile. This year marks the 36th annual celebration, and will include gifts, entertainment, balloons, food, a fire truck, and visits from the Grinch and Santa Claus. Later in the afternoon, up to 200 kids and adults may embark on the Historic Felton Steam Train through the Redwoods, an annual tradition. The event is free for children and their families.
